Hi! I’m 56 years old and have been watching (and been obsessed with) movies since I was a kid. That pattern has waned over the past few years, however. As I get older and more into my “comfort zone,” I enjoy fewer and fewer modern movies. However, I have voluminous opinions about movies from previous decades, so I’d like to share them here.
My credentials: For 11 years, I wrote a regular series of movie reviews for The Beaches Leader, a weekly community newspaper based in Jacksonville Beach, FL. On the basis of that series, I was voted First in Movie Criticism in 2003 and 2004 by the Florida Press Association.
I’m the first to admit that I’m not encyclopedic about the history of cinema; for that, I refer you to Leonard Maltin. However, at the very least, my writing is quite enjoyable when it comes to the movies I *have* seen. I hope you will agree.
Thanks pleased to have found your forthright blog. I’ll be back! Regards from Thom at the immortal jukebox (drop a nickel).

Hi there! I got to your blog through The Wonderful World of Classic Cinema blog and I’m glad I found another fellow classic film lover :-). I write historical mysteries and history has always been of interest to me but classic films is my passion. I have a blog called Mother Time Musings (http://tammayauthor.com/index.php/blog/) where I write about classic films every Friday (and about history and other topics the rest of the week) and I also have a Facebook page for my blog (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Mother-Time-Musings-Blog/973527066001474?ref=hl). I’ll be following your blog with interest.

Thanks for the invite. I’m going to have to pass this time I’m afraid. I’ve already committed to a couple of blogathons around the same dates, and I won’t have time to do another one too. If you host another blogathon sometime, I hope I will be able to take part in that. Hope it goes well!

Steve- I tried to contact you through facebook on an idea I had for a co-hosted blogathon, but maybe you missed it. I thought you might be interested in the idea of an “End of the World” blogathon. I’ll welcome your opinion. You can contact me on facebook, or I can look back here or if you want you can contact me via email
